The Merlion
A mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, the Merlion rose to its iconic status as a personification of Singapore in 1964. Besides being a tourism marketing icon of Singapore, the Merlion is also used to symbolize Singapore in art and popular culture nowadays.
The Singapore Cable Car
The Singapore Cable Car has been in service since 15 February 1974, providing an aerial link from Mount Faber on the main island of Singapore to the resort island of Sentosa. Before the connecting bridge and the light rapid transit were built, the cable car was a popular mean of transport alongside the ferry, for people traveling from the main island of Singapore to Sentosa.
With the convenience of the connecting bridge and the LRT train service, the Singapore Cable Car is still a one of the favourite especially among tourists who want to catch a bird eye view of Singapore’s landscape and the amazing views of Sentosa-HarbourFront skyline.
Marina Bay Sands
Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is an integrated resort overlooking Marina Bay in Singapore.
Developed by Las Vegas Sands and officially opened on 16th February 2011, MBS has a hotel with three towers each standing at 55 storeys high and capped by the Sands SkyPark which offers a 360-degree view of the Singapore skyline and houses restaurants, gardens, and a 150-metre vanishing edge pool.
MBS is also home to a casino, retail malls, convention and exhibition facilities, restaurants and entertainment venues including theatres, a museum and nightclubs.
